ok I have been driving for foster now for about 7 months i had to be with a trainer for 2 weeks cause i only had 6 months experience. as far as i know they do hire right out of school. starting pay for my experience was .32, and I have never had a problem getting loads. I do pretty much have the choice to bring the truck home and i only live about 70 mile south of superior. they have all newer KWs and just got a bunch of new trucks. i dont know about inverters cause i belive they will be getting power units on all the trucks but right now they are only on the t600s.

i live in michigan ( muskegon ) across the lake from milwakee. when i go to the roehl website and go to ( find a fleet ) i put my zip code in. they only offer me home time plus in either van or curtainside.

are there any terminals in michigan?

i heard someone say they are trying to get bunk heaters in the trucks. what are you guys doing to keep warm in the winter months with reduced idleing?

do you run in any states where its against the law to idle?

if they only let me run home time plus, wear can i expect to run? i think i would have to refuse nyc, long iland etc. and i kinda dread the east cost but some it isnt so bad.

also has anyone ever paid cash for the cdl training? is it $2,400? there is a school here in michigan i might go to, not sure what it costs but i think roehl will pay up to $6,000 reembursement.

I just moved to Ramsay MI in August, 2011 and working only PT as a log hauler for an independent company...which I love, but no full time available yet. I am supplementing by working as a Reservation/Receptionist 3 days a week and recently gave up my grocery stocking job 3 nights per week. I just like driving a truck, but when people find out where I live, it is next to impossible!...Without living in one or giving up driving (which I'd hate)...are there ANY places that I could do to within the 75mile from house to terminal ..."rule"...I am willing to drive to terminal and home in my own personal vehicle ..even!...There is no place I am within 75 miles from..here in the U.P.
Any suggestions????????? I used to drive 4.5 hrs from Tomah, WI to home every week but that got a bit exhausting, so gave up that job hoping to find a better option when we moved. I am willing to give 2.5 to 3 hours if needed from terminal to home...any options?????
