I’m currently doing team with Schneider and the money is good but can’t find a good co-driver so I’m going to start as a solo driver.
Schneider offers me Jet-set over the road
1. 0.37 cpm
2. Fly home every three weeks,3 days off and 2 to travel.
3. Tuition reimbursement
4. Average 2,500 to 2,800 miles per week
Werner Solo OTR
1. 0.40 cmp
2. Home every two weeks (take the truck home)
3. Tuition reimbursement
4. Trucks go up to 68 mhp
5. Average 2,500 to 2,800 miles per week
If i stay with Schneider i don’t have to start over like orientation and all that and i’ve been reading somo Werner reviews and are no so great.
I just want a different point of view, should i stay with Schneider or give an opportunity to Werner?
P. S. Im from the middle of nowhere Texas so my opinion are limited it.
Jet-set OTR(solo)with Schneider or Solo Werner OTR

@Chinatown hopefully he can chime in more options. Also you profile says you from Lubbock. Give an LTL company a look such as old dominion, Estes, saia, xpo and rl carriers and FedEx freight. You can make great money doing linehaul and being home daily.
Good luckbrian991219 and Chinatown Thank this. -
Run teams on "Plasma Account" with FFE (Frozen Food Express) and it's possible for each driver on the team to make $80K. @TravR1 is on that account and can give the details.

How much experience do you have?
Do you have endorsements?Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
I have never worked for either company so I am judging strictly by what you listed...pretty easy choice. The Werner deal. If you are taking the truck home, you're likely going to have freight most of the way there, so you're getting paid to take yourself home. As opposed to this "jet set" deal which means ....what...minimum 250 unpaid hours a year enjoying TSA b.s. and middle seats. Not to mention 37 cpm is the lowest OTR rate I've seen in a while.
