Cool thanks, I wanted to go to Cypress Truck or Maverick, more Maverick cause they pay a little better than Cypress plus they have a reimbursement program, if none of them take me then Windy Hills it is!

    Albertaflatbed and bryan21384 Thank this.

We look forward to hearing about it. Are you training in Florida or WI?

Well, reviews are all over the place, as usual. Most liked the job, and the usual problems. Some say the flower loads are the best, with multi stops paid, but many end up hauling axx-wipe out of Fox Valley. I've trucked in Wisconsin since the 70s, and Windy Hill was always there. Old cabovers, but new equipment now. It has been discussed many times here over the years, and you could do a lot worse. Companies from Wis., and I may be partial living there for 62 years, but most Wis. companies are pretty good. Keep us posted, eh?

Oh wow, they are still operational. Good for them! Funny thing is I never see their trucks on the road. Everytime I drove by there, I thought it was a junk yard lol

    Albertaflatbed Thanks this.

It’s okay so far. My driver trainer has me do 99% of the driving. I️ do all the backing, uncoupling, coupling, check in with vendors & they show you how to do stuff on the tablet. Only thing I️ don’t like so far is that I️ sleep on the top bunk and I’m 6’2 and it’s extremely uncomfortable & my driver trainer isn’t the best at explaining how to do certain things & heavily micro manages me and it’s somewhat uncomfortable. He sits next to me my whole drive just critiquing any tiny thing I️ do wrong. He says “drive 5mph below the speed limit” and so I️ do just that & then minutes later he’s like “YO BRO WHY YOU DRIVING 65mph?!??, that’s too fast” but the speed limit is 70mph and I’m just following what he says. He tells me I’m not that good at backing while simultaneously never actually letting me do it by myself, this guys confusing, but overall a decent experience so far, only 3 more weeks to go….

Hes set in ways, that’s all, you’ll understand that one day. Not to say it isn’t annoying, don’t read too much in to it though.
