15% goes to the COMPANY's pocket.
    Not the UNION's
Sitting home for day's ? I would suggest you do your due diligence.

The union agreed to give back 15% in wages to help save YRC. As you have observed, it was not used to upgrade equipment or maintenance.

However, it is better than nothing and will get you LTL experience.

Well considering I have experience putting a 53' trailer and sleeper in dollar store parking lots without hitting anything for over 50k miles and 2 years doing beverage/soda distribution in a 48' daycab, gas stations, mom and pops, etc. I think I can afford to be a bit picky at this time.

I will talk to them and see what they have to offer.

Even with the 15% give back many city drivers I talk to still make about 60-70k with the free insurance so it’s not as bad as you would think and they have upgraded the fleet at least last night while I was working all I saw was new Volvo’s from yrc

For Estes, are you sure it was a TM who was calling? Did he say that in the voicemail? Reason I ask is the TMs don'tcall you first. Your first call from them will be from a recruiter. It's basically a screening, they ask for basic information about your license, endorsements, driving record, etc. If everything good then they pass your app on to the TM where you applied.

But if you miss the call it can be difficult to get the recruiter back on the phone. So if you haven't spoken to a recruiter yet thats likely who called you.

    Jaycee4 Thanks this.

All that info is in the app I put in. However, I just assumed it was a TM calling. My have been wrong on that one.

They still call you and ask those questions anyway. It's redundant but it's how they do things. Yeah if you haven't spoken to a recruiter yet that's who called you. Just keep calling back, or try o get someone else on the phone. You could try calling the terminal you applied at an try speaking to the TM, he could get your name and have your app pulled.
