Everyone makes mistakes. I don't know. You expect something like this from a young driver. 17 years you've seen the consequenses before.

That's more than most had to deal with. You fall down, you get back up. Keep trying, it'll get better. You're almost at the 3rd year. I know you can find a job then.

I use to drink. Even drank and drove. I gave it up before I got in trouble though. It was fun, but it's fun without it too. When it cost you that much, it's time to quit. Trucking and being a drinker are total opposites anymore. The same with smoking pot. You plan on trucking, you better plan on giving it up. Then things go so much easier.

    Injun Thanks this.

I'm in a similar situation, driving about 3 yrs took it for granted,i had a perfect mvr,got popped dui in personal vehicle. Do you have your cdl still or is it suspended and what state? Mine will be suspended looks like for a year then after suspension is up I can go to a couple smaller companies I'm looking into, somehow they get around insurance issues. Give me a holler,my em is revo3844 at yahoo lets compare notes ok,I'm looking for ideas also if anyone has any especially about how to go with a smaller local mom and pop outfit which is fine,I'm in LA/Inland empire area. After I get cdl back I need to get 2-3 yrs with anyone to reestablish my once clean mvr. I will never drink again. Period. It's not worth the trouble....thanks and keep your chin up and stay positive....
