Yeah, I'm kinda partial to my limbs. It's a big risk.

They are hard to get. I have been trying to get one since I got out of the Corps. I tried for everything from security to aviation/truck mechanic which I am fully qualified for down to truck driver which I am not as good at hahahaha.
Never got anything back. The one offer I had came at the worst possible time and I had to turn it down. Now I am kicking myself because I should have taken it no matter how bad the timing was.freebird Thanks this. -
worked with a guy recently that drove in iraq for about 6 months or so. made 18+/hour ran 12 hours on, 12 hours off +room and board. he also got the enjoyment of watching people getting shot.
good money, but there is a risk, can't remember who he said he drove for though.freebird Thanks this. -

Im moving to L.A.freebird Thanks this. -
Check out some of the trucker videos on u tube, I very briefly was considering it right before Thomas H (I don't think you are supposed to put up last names on here)the farmer got kidnapped over there driving a truck and then I watched some of the videos that the truckers put up. I don't think the return justifys the risk. KBR-Halliburton isn't worried about what happens to you over there.

There's an administrator for a hotshot forum that just went back to Iraq on his second contract . You have to sign a year contract and with U.S. troops being pulled out next year you have to consider what kind of protection you'll have by the end of your contract .

I am currently working in Iraq right now..I am doing recovery..I will put some pictures up on here shortly..I have been her a year now..I was one of the lucky few that had almost no civillian time driving before I am came here..The only leg up I had was driving over here as military back in '05-'06..As far as $18 an hour goes,no way...We work 12+ on 7 days a week...Recovery isnt bad..You get broke down vehicles on base and stuck or blown up vehicles off base..It averages out to about 2k a week...But they did start takin ss and medicare $$ from us...Now is gonna be a real hard time to get on...Not to many people are leavin here to go back home..I would look into afghanistan.....freebird Thanks this.
