Persistence....yep. I bugged power fuels and bugged them. I bugged them enough that they actually ran my app thru their insurance. But then did nothing about hiring me. In fact my app got lost. I told myself that i would not be quitting till i had another job but when i got nowhere with them over the phone after like 2 months, quit I did and hightailed it to ND. (With a temporary place to stay, thank my lucky stars.) I had three angels come out of the woodwork to help me. Cobra (who gave me a place to stay, my son ( who loaned me money) and my dad who is taking care of my precious dog that i love to death. I came here on a Saturday and wouldnt you know by Tues I had a job. She knew who i was...knew that i had already passed their insurance.. cuz i had bugged the daylights out of them...

I have finished my training, btw. I just tested out yesterday and will finally be going on my own on Wednesday. Good thing too. Getting darn tired of those trainers! The trainer who tested me out showed me a nice way to work the vac truck so that you don't get your ears blown out when you release the pressure from the tank. Yep i think i will do ok. Things have settled down here and i am starting to like it more.

Beware of Power Fuels if you go to work for the Tioga office. They have screwed three friends of mine there. They fired one of them for not working all nights, even after he told them he could not stay awake at the wheel at nights. They fired him right before his six-month review and bonuses. They also did not pay him for his earned paid time off. I don't personally know about the other offices, but Tioga appears to be "unique" in their abuse of drivers. If you go there, prepare to be abused verbally and otherwise.

I was just talking to a guy at a truck stop today and he told me the same thing. Weird.

Does anybody know who to haul for in nd, wy, mt, etc hauling frac sand? I have my own authority, with new truck and pneumatic tank.

    Thanks

My husband said he's talked to a couple of their ex-drivers who had similar complaints, too. Don't know if they said anything about which office they were running out of, though.

Wow that sucks.... and here someone told me in management before they had hired me that they were having a hard time keeping people in tioga, that it was transient and that people always left to go to minot. I will keep what you said in mind... a friend has mentioned he might go to tioga. Three? That is too many to overlook.
Well I havent been abused yet. Accept for one night dispatcher who was mean when i called in sick cuz i had bronchitis. Everyone else has been alright.

When i called the scheduler today to tell him i was tested out and ready to go he was trying to get me to go to nights to work production. He said they needed people there. He was very nice about it....but I told him fresh water days for now. I might think about production later but i will never go to nights. I am too old, it would totally screw with my system.

For the person who asked about housing I am living in Power Fuels housing in one of their apts in Watford City. $900 for a 1 bedroom. I do like it in Watford City.. and i love my apt...
