Anyone who thinks driving a truck is 'hard work' needs to have their head examined. The workload at USPS isn't any different from the private sector.

Yeah Driving Is Not Hard Work.... It's The Work Involved Around The Driving That Makes The Difference...

Driving a truck may not be physically hard, but it is mentally and emotionally draining. Not to mention the enormous amount of responsibility a driver bares. I've been working full time since I was 14. My first job was tossing watermelons off trucks, then I managed operations at a farmers market, waited tables at a Mexican restaraunt, worked for an insulation contractor, worked in construction, developed websites, worked as an IT pro at a bank, worked as a wireless sales rep, and drove a truck. In my experience I can't say driVing a truck is easy. 14+ hour work days and having to deal with constant b/s (truck problems, dispatch, family problems, customers, etc.) It's far from easy. Loading a truck isn't hard. Just sayin....

I haven't had a 14 hour work day in YEARS, and I'm including the time when I was OTR heavy haul. After 9 hours, I'm done for the day.

Never had a driving job like that. Must be nice. I have never ran less than 600 miles per day though...

    Congratulations.

I know of a few companies that'll give you that off the top of my head.... UPS, YRC, FedEx Freight (stay away from FedEx Ground), Holland, Pitt Ohio and SAIA.
