When i quit gordon i took vacation days and had them send me home. I then called them and told them i quit and needed a load to indy to return the truck. I rented a car and drove home..

funny thing was they had a guy fresh out of orientation waiting on my truck. After we talked he wanted to rent a car and go home because he said he started to walk out during orientation but after taking a truck from a driver who quit after 5 years with the company he knew it wasnt going to go well..

wonder if he is still there...

 

I had a bad experience with KLLM. I was at home, not under dispatch and simply just sent a message that I quit and please route me back to Jackson for truck return. 2 days went by and they sent a message saying to deadhead it to jackson. Of course me being a newbie, I dropped the truck off and left. Figured no hard feelings both sides. I took some time off and went over to Total. On the 3rd day of orientation I get pulled out of class and asked about my incident with KLLM.... uhhh what incident? They showed me my DAC and KLLM put "unauthorized return without notice"; which is nearly equivalent to truck abandonment. I was fortunate enough that Total decided to hire me because in nearly a blink I was almost blacklisted. Now I cover my ###. I put my 2 week notice in the computer, take pictures for documentation and the remaining 2 weeks I will only communicate via Qualcomm for my own personal assurance and documentation.

 

I ordered.a copy of my dac when i realized i would be quitting. I didnt expect gordon to pull any tricks on me but you never know.

they have called me twice since asking me if i was happy where i was and if i would consider coming back.

i told them that the only way i would quit SEC is if heartland bought them ....lol

 

Everybody must be busy like me... not much time to post here....oh well..we will be out of hours soon..

 

We have left Texas and are currently in Sacramento California until next Tuesday. Then down to So Cal for a few weeks and then to Nevada.

Hopefully I will find a job there.

Also Cherokee freight lines tankers side. Union shop. Stockton headquarters.

 

Mostly just generic grumpy from my side...

In Dallas. Next load to SoCal then home to deal with taxes.

 

Leaving tennessee for miami....

had over 3k this week and this miami will give me 1k to start next week with plus at least 1k back to tennesee..

going to be home for the 4th... havent done that in years...
