Joe & Tow's new trucking adventures/ex GTI thread

I am back home in Tennessee enjoying this fall like weather. I cant figure out
why so many people are ######## about global warming, I love it myself. I told
my dispatcher I will need 2 or 3 weeks to wrap up some family business before
I can return to work. I asked him if they wanted me to clean out my truck so
they could keep it in service since I would be gone for so long. They asked me
if I was coming back or not and I told them sure I was coming back. He told
me no I did not need to turn in my truck, it will be mine when I return to work.
I have never worked for any company that was like this anywhere. If I ever
do quit I will fell guilty about it since they are so nice to me. If more of these
trucking companies started treating their drivers like they had a life outside of
being chained to a truck they would probably see their driver turnover rate go
down significantly.

does SEC make you take your time off at home, or can you take it anywhere

 

Your choice but if you are wanting to take time off elsewhere it will need to be onroute....not going to go off route to hawaii or anything like that.

 

There hasn't been enough climate change for that to occur. YET!
