I don't know who told you that but I was told they were getting all cascadias... 30 of them are already ordered and they specifically said freightliners....

a friend of mine started here a week after I did and he drove a pete for a bit with no problem. They wont send you to california in them since they are so old. He still ran very good miles.

they gave him a cascadia over the weekend that a guy had who was only here 3 weeks. Left because he didn't like to work... they don't push you here but you are expected to run steady.. and legal...

Well I hope I got lucky for a change. Every time I go to work for another company
I meet a few drivers who tell me how great it used to be before I worked there. I
like what I see so far but like you say nothing lasts forever. I am only 51 years old
so I still have a long way to go till I can retire. Anyway I realize one thing. I will
never drive for another one of the big carriers. They are all cut out of the same
cloth. To many people drinking the wine and not enough pressing the grapes..

The guy who runs the shop I think his name is Daryll? He said they are going
to get some Prostars ,I am not sure how many. He said they got a good deal
from International so I suppose they are going to try some out to see if they
want any more. After they see how unreliable they are I am sure they wont
buy very many. Heartland had International mechanics that worked full time
for them in every terminal I went thru. The final straw for me with heartland
was when I sat at the yrd,in Chester VA, for two days just for a check engine
light on the dash. On the third day they still had not even looked at it yet and
did not know when they would get around to it. That's when I said By,By, see
    ya later..

The maintenance here will blow your mind...

when I took hometime I came back and they had taken it and checked it out, greased it all up and filled up my def for me.. all without my asking.

nice thing here is when your truck needs to go into the shop we can go home...lol

No they where not trying to starve me out. When I was putting my stuff into a
rental car so I could head for home the regional manager came up to me and
shook my hand. He wanted to know why I was quitting and what they could
do to change my mind. He was a actually a very nice gentleman. They just
don't get the idea that most drivers don't want to sit around wasting there
time in a truck stop or a shop. I also got tired of all the short haul middle of
the night freight that they specialize in hauling. I couldn't see myself doing
this kind of driving any longer. It also annoyed me that they can afford to
spend $300 million buying Gordon Trucking but they cant pay their drivers
for a lot of the work they do. I know the economy is bad but these trucking
companies are making money hand over fist. When 10 drivers quit today
they just hire 10 more tomorrow. As long as they can catch some fresh fish
they will never change. At least with a smaller company you can actually go
in the office and look them square in the face. They don't have some guys
wearing suits and ties in their Ivory towers calling all the shots. Sure some
of the smaller companies are crooked but they will usually try to address your
complaints to keep you working for them. The big companies just pay you lip
service and a week later its business as usual.

    tow614 Thanks this.
