    The nice thing about Lessors is there is another option for you here. We pull country music tours. Jason Aldean, Lady Antenellum, Brad Paisley, Montgomery Gentry to name a few. There's another option here besides reefers. Most loafs here are 1,000 miles or better. SEC has no Northeast. So it's two good options for you.

    Yes, 1000 miles plus is what I like!

    Country music does nothing for me, now if it were classic rock like Aerosmith, The Stone's or AC/DC and the likes, I would be all in. At 52 I still rock as hard as ever! Open roads and rock n roll, I'm a Simple Man ;

    Speaking my music there. I usually have Rush marathons on the long trips.

    I have run reefer quite a bit myself but i hate the grocery places immensely...

    i will not.say i will never do reefer again but just not like that. There is too much wasted time there.

    in 7 months here at sec i have only had one load that i asked for detention pay on.

    our average length of haul is around 700 but we have a lot of 2000 mile runs.

    i dont think you would go wrong with either company...you will make money with both but i think joseph works a lot harder than i do.

    Left a voicemail for recruiting yesterday but never got a return call, I'm sure I'll hear from someone today. What's the starting pay nowadays at SEC?

    In agreement on the grocery store and food service distribution places. 4 to 5 hour unloads for partial truck is not uncommon.

    Wal-mart and costco run about 3 hours on produce. Their new internal policy is 3 hours from appt time before finger shaking starts.

    Now on the pickup side you have americold and us cold storage who typically do not have enough doors to get product out.

    Joe and Tow do your respective companies do much drop and hook?

    We do a lot of drop and hook but our air conditioner loads are mostly live unld but not a lot of time involved. Some are multi stop loads with $20 stop pay.

    all our live loads are pretty quick...

    Well I was just told SEC doesn't get to Columbia much and my only option would be to drive my personal vehicle to Lawrenceburg, lol! Yeah I'm not driving 500 each way when I go home.

    So Joe, with the miles you run and on elogs I can't imagine your getting stuck anywhere loading/unloading for too long. I'm curious how you do it, do you guys not deliver to grocery warehouses much?

    Sometimes you sit at a dock for 3-4 hours. It's the nature of the beast. But log it wisely. I try to stay at as many customer locations as I can. Many places we deliver to have parking or parking so close that you don't trip the log.
