Just parked @ the funky gas station west of needles near the rest areas. $10 to park overnight (not enough time to get to Needles).

Shooting for central NM tomorrow.....

Being detained 4 1/2 hours @ pickup this morning is harshing my mellow big time.

 

$10 to park in Needles, what a bunch of crap!

Geez what has this industry come to

 

$10 is cheap...its $20 in ontario and sacramento california and $15 in miami...not to mention chicago

 

The Pilot in Sacramento is $12 now

 

It may be cheap compared to other locations but it doesn't change the fact that we shouldn't have to pay to park. I know Ontario always charged but that was the exception back in the day.

Tow what kind of fuel stops does SEC use? If not the TA can you buy 50 gallons if your stuck in Ontario and can't find parking at the Pilot?

 

Pilot/flyingj only....if you get stuck at ontario parking is free if you spend $20 inside...a meal will nearly cost you that

 

Also if your stuck in Ontario and want to go I to town...Eco rent a car is on site and they'll validate parking there at TA & petro...

 

Descent day today. 673 miles to Santa Rosa.

3 hours left on the 70. 8 hours back @ midnight. Should be good to hit Joplin tomorrow.

Now it's time for a past due shower.

$25 to park in one Chicago lot. And I was happy to pay it as the snow continued to fall...and the lot filled up VERY quickly.
