Sounds like your headed to Publix. That would work well for me having spent 20 years in Tampa. Would love to take a 34 in Dover.

Speaking of Dover, do they have a full time shop there?

RoadCall, I've been with SEC since Feb and havent hit a grocery warehouse yet. I've heard of drivers going in on brokered loads but very minimal. Some of our Goodman Distribution places can be trying but it's understandable. They get you unloaded as quickly as they can but have to service their vendors/contractors first. I was at the Pompano Beach FL store Friday afternoon for a 1300 appt, they started unloading at 1500 (had 2 trucks ahead of me), and were taking care of contractors all the while. To be expected on a Friday before a long weekend!

Joseph, I love Louisiana! Was stationed at Barksdale AFB outside of Shreveport/Bossier City 1991-1994 and lived there when I first started driving. Lived on the West Bank outside of New Orleans for awhile, too. Love the people, the food, and their way of life. It is a totally different world, though. The Tiger Truck Stop in Grose Tete off of I10 doesnt look like much from the outside but the women that cook in that place know what they're doing! A definite stop whenever I travel across!

Ok, back to my reset in Russellville, AR. Take care!

Thanks scooter I appreciate the info!

Also I totally agree, ever since I first stopped there in 1994 I always try to eat at the Tiger in Grosse Tete when I can. It's a hole in the wall but they always had dam good food.

    sc00ter Thanks this.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing. I tried but the Cici's across from the pilot were determined to keep pace with me. I'm sure I'll pay for this in the next couple of days. Oof!!

Yes. Lessors bought Pullen Bros out of Sikeston, MO, adding 60 trucks to the fleet plus a lot of freight.
