Just screwed up...unloaded in houston and got next load to what i thought was neches,tx...

half way there i stop for the night and started writing all my info down and realized i am picking up in port neches,tx...doh!!!!!

Oh well...cost me about an extra hour and a half to go back..fortunately i didnt go all the way to neches

thats what i get though for hurrying and not reading all the load info before heading out...poor trip planning but i was being rushed to get out of previous receiver and didnt get load info until i was at the gate...

The good part is you did not confuse Houston, TX with Houston, AK that would have added some extra miles to the trip. :biggrin_255:

    I can hear it now...

"Good morning, Bob. I hope you're enjoying your coffee. Please understand me when I say I'm sorry it's come to this. I've warned you four times to make a legal u-turn and yet you don't. Bob, I can't stress enough taking my advice is really the only option for you...you know, before I have to take the next step. So please, when possible, make a legal u-turn. It's for your own good."

As soon as I'm done being sick, I'm headed for North Carolina for 3 stops from Minnesota. Time to get some heavy music on and make my way south (ugh) again.

I just got back to the yard and finished my third trip to Alaska and back in the last month. Winter has hit the Yukon and I got to see quite a bit of snow and plenty of ice covered roads already. Another Uhaul bit the dust South of Teslin where it was laying on its side and the car trailer with the car was down in the ditch. I hope they were okay and bought full coverage since the money saving scheme of moving themselves just got a little bit more expensive.

That's sad to hear and not a great place for the experience. It's a shame people drive a POV with a towed vehicle like they're driving without one. I bet their insurance coverage was, well, uncovered. One must expect and plan for the unexpected on that road...as they now know.
