Is anybody else playing in the snow? I ran close to a 1000 miles on snow and ice on my trip North. Had anything from fog, sun shine, poring rain and a heck of a snow storm today. Left Anchorage Sunday morning and will be back in Washington tomorrow evening. Two days equal 28hrs drive time and 1571mls on mostly snow and ice covered roads. Weather should be better tomorrow, but the Weather Channel had lied to me about today as well. The snow was not to show up until tomorrow. Still getting used to hauling cars in a reefer trailer. I got one without a parking brake and I have not felt it rolling back and forth so all must be good. :biggrin_2552:

We got some much needed rain on Friday in Salinas. Heading out today after almost a week off.

I'll most likely continue to be down on I40 so snow should not be an issue for a month or so.

That is how it works on the bigger cars. On the average car there is enough room to squeeze out.

LOL that's 2300 to 2400 miles each way. (Salinas to Cincy is 2400)

Trips like that are about 38 hours each way on e-logs.

You need the help of the log ferries to not take a down day. :biggrin_25525:

Well, my 4 days at home flew by. I spent two days working on the truck, but I now have a 180Watt 30" light bar, work lights on back, a properly adjusted clutch and brakes, nicely insulated sleeper floor and a bunch of other little things that I got done. I think I have taken about as much as possible a part of the cab and sleeper to clean behind and underneath to get all the old dirt and smells out.

It seems like everything I tackle leads to three other things that need to be done. Today is cooking day and my girl friend and I are fixing lots of foods to take a long. I have checked the weather and it will be mostly sunny and cold for most of the trip. I am seeing temps dropping down to minus 10.

Got to pick up my trailer from the shop tomorrow morning since my boss made me take it to get the brakes done instead of me doing those as well. He wants me to have home time and have time off. What a nice guy or he figures my girl friend will pay him a visit and that could be detrimental to his health.
