Even though I hated it, I got some good memories. Running 95 in Cali and 93 in Nevada, meeting you and Vern and starting new friendships, and showing up some of the people there. From the bad comes the good, and counting Blu, Denali, Chowick, and the rest of the TTR/GTI crew as friends was a high point to it all. But it feels so good to be out. Maybe some enjoy the handholding. Not me. You and I were some of the best drivers there, and they knew it. But they lost, we got out with our sanity intact.

I must have lucked out during my short time there, or maybe it was because my time at GTI was so short that I never felt any 'hand-holding' from anyone. My DM's were responsive when I needed them to be and left me to my own devices when I wanted that; the three occasions I had to chat with the Fleet Manager found him to be equally responsive. Even more than that, I, too, deeply appreciate the friendships I found here on the TTR/GTI forums; it's one reason I stuck around as much as I did.

I will miss this part of it.

I've got some questions about Lessors:

    1) Are they on E-logs or paper?

    2) Do they run into NYC or Canada?

    3) Do they go into California often? If so do they run produce out of there? I actually love going to Cali, that's why I'm asking. Canada and NYC not so much.

Sometimes the you think the grass is greener on the other side, so you go over there to find out that it's really not, but because it was something you wanted, you do a healthy amount of convincing yourself that the grass really is greener...even though it's obviously not.

This is why I am not in a huge hurry to leave Crete. Yeah, I don't like some things about this company, but all things considered, it's not as bad as it could be. Especially now that we're all getting a 2c raise next month across the board, including a 2c increase in the pay cap...and a reduction in the mileage requirement to get your annual raise.

So I'm paying attention in here, and I'm paying attention elsewhere as well... once I have that 2 years under my belt I'll be stepping things up, depending on how things here at Crete are going by that point.

    48Packard and tow614 Thank this.
