Gordon has announced today that with the trucks heartland is pulling out of service and not having new trucks arriving for several months all company drivers will have to clean out trucks on hometime of any length so they have adequate trucks for drivers...that came from an o/o friend of mine at gti today....

The last Gordon trucks have been equipped differently, as in engines from Cummins to Detroit and probably gearing as well, so I'm guessing they want to evaluate the change before adding more units, and will run much as Crete and Shaffer do, pulling the other trailers as efficiently as possible.

I'm seeing quite a few Gordon trucks pulling Heartland trailers and vice versa; we have them pulling a load out of the plant here, and it can go on either trailer.

That's ok a Heartland truck and driver can cover the load.

The GTI driver can stay home a couple more days or drive a day cab till they find them another truck....

Irs sad when a merger destroys a descent company.one thing I like about working for an ESOP company, If they decide to sell as a shareholder I get a say in the matter. The reason they became an ESOP company in the first place is because the original owner did not want to sell his life's work to a mega just to see it destroyed.

I wish more original owners looked at more than stock price when retiring. The Gordon's had a very good company.

I just wish that ESOP company's recruiter would answer my email in some other way than a biweekly email blast. So far, no luck...

I'm in St Cloud MN today. I passed a Con Way truck pulling a GTI trailer.
