Couldn't they have posted someone whether it's a volunteer FD member or someone else way behind this and just close it down or at least have traffic slowing? Maybe there wasn't enough time to do it, but it looks like there were FD and law enforcement there on scene. Maybe they're too far from town. I'm just wondering but it's easy to second guess.

I am supposed to go through there tomorrow ..maybe a southern route to Dallas is a better idea.

That state should just change its name to Winteroming.

The problem in Wyoming is the drivers who do poor trip planning and ignore the information they are given...

If you check the weather and road conditions you should know not to proceed but so many do...

i really think there should be different classification levels to all cdl holders based upon your experience and the lower levels should not be permitted to drive in adverse weather conditions....

there should also be a test devised for common sense....

    511. A trucker's best friend. A smartphone with a weather app. The radio. The CB. All of these things could have prevented this.

    FLATBED and tow614 Thank this.

I just got a QC message that the 80 is closed for at least 48 more hours so I see a visit to Price Utah in my near future...
