    Sounds like my weekend. Michigan to Alabama. 600 miles or so for a Monday delivery. But maybe they're moving me out West, where the roads are long and the miles many...

    Where the roads are long miles of construction delays, Interspersed with decaying blacktop, unfilled chuck holes, and the obligatory cross road ridges in the pavement?

    I got myself a cheap hotel room here in Lebanon. I don't want to sit in my truck till Monday.
    The dispatcher told me on Friday they will pay me some detention pay for sitting on this
    load. I will remind them on Monday to see if they will pay me something.
