I saw a GTI truck coming north out of Georgia. A bunch of Heartless pulling GTI trailers and one of those red Cascadias with Heartland logos on it, it's the new GTI spec'd Cascadia. Which are a bit cheaper than the old ones, no fog lights, they took the "Walmart door" off the side and only one sidebox. Didn't get a chance to look what else they've changed.

As for me, I'm here in Florida getting unloaded in Orlando, then headed over to the yard.

I have a partial answer to the question of why there seem to be so many GTI tractors pulling Heartland trailers. According to one 8-year driver I talked to today, HTLD for rid of a lot of GTI trailers in ththe last year because of poor condition. A lot. When mentioned to him I had seen many Gordon/Heartland combinations and not many Gordon/Gordon, he did a double take and said, "You know, you're right. I haven't pulled too many Gordon trailers recently."

    Makes sense to me.

Saw a GTI trailer today sitting near Jefferson Assembly in Detroit. No truck attached to it.

I have a serious question for any GTI drivers. I am leaving Con-Way Truckload after consistant low mileage weeks, lousy KW 660 breakdowns and poor dispatchers. I have been offered a job with GTI running out of the Jacksonville, Fl. terminal for southeast regional. I live in central Florida and am an active US Navy reservist. Do you think that this would be a good match? The recruiter lady seems very sincere and her numbers sound fair but she is a recruiter. Any help would be appreciated.

GTI doesn't have a Jacksonville terminal. That's heartland. Gordon doesn't go to Florida

    Tow,
I know that the Jacksonville terminal is Heartland's but she offered their regional to me and after Con-Way it didn't sound too bad. Living in central Florida doesn't leave too many options available and with active reserves some companies do not want drivers that have military obligations to fulfill. Con-Way honored the military but fell through on everything else like low miles, constant breakdowns and poor communication. Thanks for any information.

Tow, I forgot to ask about any information on Big G Express. Location, type of operation, etc. Thanks again.
