Joe & Tow's new trucking adventures/ex GTI thread

Tow, I think one of your company mates got lost. There is an SEC truck parked about 10 trucks down from me at the flying J in Ripon, CA.

Now that's some long haul trucking then.

 

We are a small fleet of less than 200 trucks but they say at any given time 30% of our fleet will be on the west coast and then we return back to tennessee. Makes for good miles altogether.

I took a look at my bank account over the weekend and from 3/7/14 - 4/4/14 i put $3900 in the bank.

Not a bad month...

 

This last trip back to Cali (Thursday and Friday) I noticed a dozen or so heading the other way on I40 (Stretch from Amarillo to CA I15).

I was actually begining to wonder if I noticed more SEC than GTI trucks that trip

 

Hey Joe did you hear about this? A Lessors truck got into a doozy on I-40 in Cali. It's at the 2:15-2:22 mark.

I'm leaning toward the R1200GS Adventure, but I still have to decide just how much of each type of riding I will do. Making that decision is the first step in the purchase process...and I'm not close to deciding. BMW makes pretty nice touring bikes, too.

 

Or skidded out of control on the black ice.

 

Well its the last day of home time. You know its kinda funny about this time I start thinking about being on the road and when I get out there for a couple weeks I start thinking about being home.

At this rate I wonder if I will be able to retire without some kind of driving any more.
