I am still laid up at home recouperating from my surgery. Will see my doc friday and hopefully will be able to return to work. My DOT card expires this May so i will need to get that done also before returning. I believe anytime you have a major medical event that you are required to be recertified anyway so i will cover all bases just in case.
I was not expecting to have this kind of surgery. Was led to believe it was going to be a simple out patient deal. While i did return home afterwards it was definitely not a minor deal. But, i will survive and the soreness will go away soon ,,,i hope. Right now i feel like i have a basketball between my legs and every movement can be felt.
Be careful out there...watch out for tornados , snow and crazed gunmen... oh yea.. and fedex drivers too.. as if we didnt already know that one....

to get back on the road. After that

the road woudnt feel to good. I
hope you have a complete and
speedy recovery. -

I worked for a medium-size all-reefer company two years ago. There were issues, of course, but one thing stood out -- they didn't tell you where to fuel or how to get there. Handed you a fuel card, the keys, a load, and off you went. Like a buddy of mine said, they treated their drivers like grown-ups and expect them to act like it. I left because they couldn't get me home before my daughter and son-in-law and my new granddaughter left for Korea in spite of the DM giving me all kinds of assurances and them having 90 days notice. I'm still miffed at them for it but I do recognize how good I had it there.

They used to charge $ for overnight parking. It
looks like they wised up and did away with that. -
I just read some nut case shot 6 people at the
FedEx facility in Kennesaw Ga, the gunman is
reported dead. I wonder what set him off? I have
hauled lots of freight for FedEx, I always found
the people that work in their terminals to be very
friendly. I do think the drivers need to slow down
a little bit though.
