I'll answer any serious question that I know the answer to. I'm still around, and not running from the comments being thrown here. I'll accept the low jabs for what they are.

I had the, um...pleasure, of spending a week in Yellow Knife. In winter. Waiting. With very little per diem.

    Oh, wasn't that fun.

They have more earthquakes than California does. What they don't have is the population, so the earthquakes aren't famous.

I have asked several times and never received and answer....what is the policy if a driver without idle reduction equipment (APU or those ridiculous extra battery packs on the Internationals especially) if a driver gets a ticket for idling in a no idle state? Specifically NY (who DO have a history of issuing tickets on the Thruway),NJ, PA, NC.....always been interested to hear that, and have never has and answer so far......

Sorry, didn't mean to not answer. This has happened so infrequently that it isn't an issue at all. Of our entire company we can't recall any tickets for this within the last few years.

On a side note, new batch of trucks currently being spec'ed for GTI fleet to trade out some of the older trucks and bring the age of the fleet newer. The new trucks are being spec'ed with APU's and same blue color and GTI decals.

Hell I can answer that and say no.

Even when Arnold was fully owned by USX we couldn't transfer over. Even though all the computer systems are the same (seperated by one numerical code) our payroll said us xpress, our breakdown was USX, and our driver codes were USX.. yet we couldn't just change trucks.
