I got rid of my fish load early today, had my truck serviced and actually get to be home for a holiday for once. I don't know how that happened, but the weekend has just begun and something still might go wrong and I find myself back at work before I know it. The way this trip went I could get greedy and actually do three trips to Alaska in a month. I did a nine day turnaround with a reset in Anchorage. It was nice to pull a 2015 trailer on its maiden voyage. I guess it is broken in now. Luckily it rained pretty good today and it got somewhat of a wash. I hope it wont be needed over the weekend and I get to keep it. I should have put an out of service tag on it. :biggrin_25511:

Well, I will be putting my new lights on the truck I got in Alaska. I bought a set of the 6.7" VisionX Light cannons. They have a 2500' spot beam or you can change the pattern with different lenses. I bought a set of Euro lenses that have a 60 degree pattern and about 1000' of coverage.

Thanks for the compliments. They mean a lot coming from colleagues. And I wish I could hang in OKC. I would be a whole lot closer to my grands!

You need to go visit your old stomping grounds. I just came down the Parks Highway and like always it rained and actually had some snow flakes in the mix as well. I think Mt McKinley is just a farce I have never seen it driving by. The bears are out and I am having a blast watching them. I did see a nice Grizzly after crossing the White River in the Yukon. I guess you better check twice before you head to the outhouse in the rest area or you might run into a furry friend.

    DenaliDad and tow614 Thank this.

I have been lazy about taking pictures. I need to catch one of our owner ops that has a movie of black bear pulling up on his old GTI Columbia and almost pulling the mirror of the hood. He is a big Ukrainian kid and could have probably wrestled that black bear to the ground.

Over 7500 miles in the last two weeks- JOSEPH'S DREAM!

I ran right around 3800 miles for the past two weeks in a row. According to some, long haul is dead and big miles are nothing but braggadocio. We are all dreaming!!!! Greyhound is still proving that GTI had the long hauls. Chowick is coast to coast with Holland and loving it. Tow and Air Breeze are racking them up over at SEC, Blu is covering the 48 with RWI and I am doing my thing at Lessors, while Vikingswen is showing us how it's done in Alaska. Are we all bragging? I think not! What some fail to realize is that by being a good driver instead of a lackluster one, miles and money are easy to come by. Last night I pulled into Front Royal, VA and dropped the trailer, making two straight weeks just under 4000 miles. Braggadocio? I think not. Unless we are all afflicted with it. More like, oh, learning how to work kid.

tow614, DenaliDad and Air Breeze Thank this.
