Good morning all, hope you are all doing well. Yesterday was day 3 of driving (day 2 for me) and I did much better. Upshifts were perfect and downshifts were improved, only had one or two issues getting it in gear. The students I've been with in the trucks on the other hand :biggrin_2555:, and I won't say more than that. I worked on parallel parking yesterday as well, did alright for my first time but still need a lot of work on it. Looking forward to getting back in the seat this morning.

Been a few days since I posted so I thought I'd drop a few lines. I've just been driving everyday, range half the day, street driving the other half. Monday we started going through downtown, while San Marcos isn't a major metropolis it is a college town. There are some tight turns and plenty of traffic. I'm glad they are having drive in those conditions as it's going to prepare us for real world driving. Yesterday we got our best truck back from the shop, an International 9400 (don't know the year) 10 speed. The instructors are going to have the better shifting students drive that truck from now on, lucky me I get to drive it. Still having issues with parallel, some tries I can nail it, others I'm way off. When I get it wrong the tail of the trailer is usually sticking out the left side away from the curb. Hoping I can tighten that up as they are going to have us test next week.
