Hello, I used to drive for SNI about 6 years ago. I have been off the road since then. I want to go back but I am trying to find information on there medication list and what there policies are for Diabetics. Unfortunaly the recruiting department can't give me any information and the medical department won't give me any information until I have a file . Unfortunaly I am waiting till August to go back out and need to use the next few months to get my doctors to make my meds compliant. If anybody can provide me with the information I would be thankful.
Looking for
Knockout Drug list
Maximum A1C
Approved Diabetic meds
Thank You

Have you considered getting a DOT physical on your own; then you will know your status. You can get one from anywhere from $50.00 to $125.00 at some walkin clinics.

As far as type II medications I doubt they are any stricter than the DOT. I doubt they advertise it either. It's when you get to other types of medical problems there might be an issue. The only thing you would have to worry about is type 1 and insulin.
Metformin, Glyburide, Victoza and all them? Nah, not an issue as long as your diabetes is under control. If you are 7 or so A1C and below you'll be okay. They won't even test your A1C as a type II. They have to draw blood which they won't. You'll just pee in a cup and get a glucose test that way. Just make sure your sugar is down and fast that morning and you'll pass with flying colors. -

given there are sharps containers in the mens rooms(assume the womens too) of the OCs , I'd say they allow it. As with most any other medical condition, as long as its being treated and can be proved if needed , I dont see the issue.
