It's funny that in alot of other places it's just another day in winter. But I guess of these places aren't prepared for that kind of snow because they never get that much.

And crappy equipment to deal with the snow doesn't help either....
I wonder what their paying for dump trucks in DC saw video on tv , lots of trucks hauling snow..... -
Well speaking for where I live, they've only got 2 sand/salt trucks. We deal with mostly 20's and 30's all winter, hardly any snow, lil bit of ice. When it hits hard, it generally gets ahead and they don't catch up. Not to mention I live just west of one of the major N/S routes(65), so as stated sheer volume of traffic also comes into play. It sucks when its bad, but they're not gonna invest a lit of money in equipment that only gets used every couple of years. Least that's what one of the county commissioners told me.
