Jump in the Oil game!

Of course its going to be busy still... you won't see the effects of this cheap oil for a bit. All the companies need to finish their current projects. But they are cancelling their planned projects they had 1-2 years out.

 

Looking back over the last 3 months, does NOTHING to tell you what is happening over the next 3 months... If the cheap oil prices that are being manipulated by the Royal Family, only last for 3 months, the Oil fields will see a slight slow down, and then back to current status...

But if the Royal Family continues the 25% discount to US refineries, local crude can NOT compete, and the drilling will stop.

The boom is over. We are in the consolidation, plateau stage. That is not doom and gloom, but reality, and experience, with wisdom thrown in

 

You can only beat the drum so loud gal, he's not having any of it so let him go imo. If he wants to wildcat a unit then go ahead. If sand plays out he can run for cost in cement if he can get freight. He will have plenty of company driving rates to the bottom trying to get work.

You are correct. In my morning meeting last week I was given the numbers for Permian rig stack by the big boys and then by us.....oil is within $10 bbl of those numbers. Now is not the time to be buying anything imo.

On the upside the boss thinks the political climate will shift after the first and life will be better but that's his opinion.

I woundn't go on a spending spree . But the low prices won't last.

Wait until the next firefight in the middle east ..... Then prices will sky rocket.

Do you think that we're ignorant? The cheapest gasoline in the US right now is around $1.70/gal, and that's in Lubbock, TX. Anybody can find a picture on Google.

I think that you should do exactly what you want to do. If you want to put blinders on and act like nothing is happening, then go right ahead. Nothing is stopping you.

 

If you count E85 then the price is down to $.90 in Minnesota.

 

I did. According to Gasbuddy.com, the cheapest gas in Minnesota is $1.75/gal at a Costco in Coon Rapids, MN. Their average price is $1.97/gal. http://www.minnesotagasprices.com/. E85 isn't gasoline since it contains 85% ethanol...but even then, it's only saving people about $.10/gal right now.
