I'll definitely see you out on the road, Harbinger! I'm just a ways behind you. Transferred my CDL from Colo and took the Haz test three weeks ago. I got the hard copy of my CDL with the Tanker endorsement in 1.5 weeks. I called TX DPS and a lady there said I may have to wait 3 months to get the Haz endorsement because of the background check, along with transferring the CDL from another state! 3 Months!!? May I ask how long you had to wait once you took the Haz test, to get the Haz endorsement? I'm getting kinda fidgety!

Actually, I already have a Masters and can't find any open Full-time Position. There is a really long wait now for Full-time positions with so many Babyboomers hanging on to their academic positions till they turn 75. This makes it difficult for young guys like me to find Full-time employment. On top of this, colleges and universities continue to graduate thousands and thousands of students which is suppressing and damaging the price for academic labor. Also, increasingly, about 80% of all academic position are part-time and temporary positions that pay below 25k. Last year I made around 22k while working at two different colleges. Hence, I don't think there is a future in academica and plan to exit. I hope you understand my position.

thats because the DOE are in part connected with junior colleges who give credit.for the courses in trucking with a GPA. I would agree the DOE recognizes trucking as a "skill" but dont let anyone tell you that its thought of as skilled labor. You might want to look up Deregulation in the trucking industry ? It will correct the lies you have been told.
