So i have noticed on here and at the terminals that we are losing people left and right. Everyone is leaving. Some say it is because of all the new things millis is trying to establish like the idle kill and the cameras. I have seen at least 5 people i know in real life leave and a couple on here. I hear way more complaining these days also. What is going on? I also know a few regional guys going back OTR. this is nuts. should we all be looking for new jobs? is the company imploding? can someone explain to me what is going on?

Most people don't want camera's on them. It's our home inside these trucks. I will stand up naked all the time in front of it. Maybe make a porno
Wanderingaimlessly, CertifiedSweetie and Jrdude5 Thank this. -
lol that would be funny. I figured if they put one in my truck it will be me cussing at drivers and singing.

I have a camera in my truck it records in cab and in front of the truck, It also ##### off when the park brakes are set. It does not record the sound, nor can they access while I'm driving down the road. Iy has a 32 gb mini plugged into it. every couple of weeks they pull it when I go thru a company yard.
The records are saved as video chip shows the show highest speed and if there was an incident like hard braking.
any file marked as an incident will not be automaticly written over, the other files will be over written as memory is used.
The insurance company suppied them free to our company as well as a reduced rate.
The way our company uses them so far is not bad for the driver. But incase on an accident you now there going to hang the driver.
If there was a situation that would envolve me . like driving over hours the camera will simply disappear. -
The company I just started with has cameras in the truck they record incab and infront of the truck they only save a recording of 12 secs 8 secs before 4 secs after hard braking sudden jolt swirving ect that also record audio if siting still they tell u to cover up the inside camera for our privacy just incase someone hits us while parked I was kinda sketchy about the camera deal until they showed me some things where it actually helped the driver in some accident situations one they showed me was where a truck rearended a car without the video driver would have been at fault but because I the video showing the car cutting off the truck it saved the drivers rear another was a box truck side swiped the truck said the truck came in his lane and hit him but there agian the video showed the truck never leave his lane and the audio picks up the sound of impact so maybe this little bit of insure into the cameras might help some understand they don't record 24/7 they only record when the safety paramitors are set off

Powder joints, The cameras Millis has can been seen at any time. Driving or not. Our safety guy flat out lied to us all about him not being able to access them anytime. There has been driver after driver say they safety has sent them a message telling them things they need to fix while driving. Millis used to pride themselves on honesty, and a hometime guarantee, neither of them are still there. (with that said I don't normally have issues getting home. But I have noticed I'm late a LOT more than I used to be getting home). Also it's hard for drivers who have at least a year in to work here when there are companies after companies offering to pay more cpm with the same or more miles. I too have been SERIOUSLY researching leaving.

Sometimes the company isnt all the problem. I have met alot of lazy people at Millis. They want want want, but b!@#$ and moan the second dispatch gives them a short run or shuttle an empty for a customer. I feel no sympathy for those types of always grumpy people. am on track to make $53000 my first year as a trucker. No complaints with Millis here.
