The federal government and lets not leave out the DMV have truly succeeded in making Trucking a miserable occupation to be in! If an explanation is needed then you haven’t been in Trucking very long so think twice on giving it a shot, pushing shopping carts out of the parking lot at your local Walmart is much more desirable. Good Luck!
Just a personal opinion

You know some of us aren't in this profession just for the money right.
Oldironfan, Rollr4872, Bob Dobalina and 2 others Thank this. -
I do it cuz my truck make me look cool
RERM, rolls canardly and TGUNKEL Thank this. -
Not sure how that relates to my statement but anyway I depend on my truck for income and definitely now out here as a professional tourist. If it’s tourism it’s all gone sour thanks to government mandates and the wrath of the DMV quota system. Yes safety is priority but it has gone way beyond that now.

As son as Wal-Mart starts paying 5k a week to push shopping carts I'll park the truck, but until then trucking aint so bad.
mrbamcclain, Hurst, xsetra and 1 other person Thank this. -
I dunno. I just booked a gig shuttling trailers around a parking lot for 5 hours, paying $600 to the truck. That's not too miserable, IMO.
spyder7723 Thanks this. -
They way you worded your first post makes it sound like you're only out here for the money. And if you are only doing a job for the money then you're in the wrong line of work. Ive always believed that if you "love the work you do, you will never work a day in your life". And well here I am doing what I love and happen to be getting paid pretty decent to do it.Oldironfan, Bob Dobalina, Digger130 and 2 others Thank this.

That’s a good deal, you should be good to go as long as you don’t have to cross any scales for random inspections while on the property. Haha

That’s awesome philosophy and true to an extent.
