Hi, I was an owner operator at Schneider for 5 years and recently left. Anybody know what the freight is looking like on the board right now? I'm thining of returning because I love the way booking loads works at Schneider. Fits me well. I'm just wondering if Phoenix freight is viable right now especially going to Southern California and back. It was looking rather scarce last I checked when I was there. I live 15 minutes from the Phoenix OC so it's very convenient for me to work out of Phoenix.
    Thanks

I can tell you that Schneider as well as Swift are dumping a lot of power only freight on the spot market.

And the loads are flying of the board at rates that barely cover what Schneider's equipment cost would have been if they hauled the load themselves.

On the other hand, it appears we are having more service failures, but that's rumor and impression not empirical fact.

If you can get someone else to do the job for cheaper than you can and make some money…. As long as there is no service failure anyway.
