Hello Eveyone, I finally made it official and joined the forum. I cant even guess the number of hours I have spent researching and trying to make the best decision on how to become a truck driver. I have decided to fill out an app. with Central Refrigerated Inc. The no out of pocket costs really appealled to me. If they hire me I will start a new post and give everyone the story from start to finish. I would just like to THANK everyone for all the info you pass on.:biggrin_25525:

Thank's rik for the good word's. After spying on this forum for months its hard to have any questions that have not been answered already. Just had to pull the trigger and go with someone. Hopefully I made a good choice. Want to pull flat bed eventually but i figured learning the reefer side would be good to have under the belt.

Unbelievable!!! Just heard from the recruiter folks and they have me scheduled for school at the end of the month. WOW! I figured I would have to wait a little while before I recieved any reply. Have to admit I am a little nervous.

:biggrin_25525:Even though I made a couple of posts and made my mind know to some of you, I never introduced myself!!!!!! Here sits a person who worked 15 plus years in a factory, ranging from $10-12/hour. Steady and sure work but being laid-off every few years is not much of an ego builder!!!!!!!!!
Finally, after the last employee restructure, I became displaced and AGAIN placed on unemployment and food stamps. Now as a member of the (system), I received a WIA grant to receive training. I since received my CDL in March!!!!!!!! A chance to pursue a dream make a living and have pride in myself!!!!!
I will see how this goes!!!! I will arrive at orientation on 4-20-09. And I will follow one day at a time. The learning continues, but that is what life is!!!!!! Learning all the time--believe me!!!!!
