You know in 2 months freight will pick up. It will be easier to get a job with someone else then. I would probably call around and see who would take you and how much experience they want. Get a composition note book and record all the info about the companies and the calls so you don't forget details in 2 months.

@Count FurFur I'm sorry you've been off to a rough start with Schneider. The good news is that you won't be stuck there forever, but in this case I strongly suggest that you tough it out until you have at least 3 months' experience after training. That, combined with the fact that springtime will mean more work, will improve your chances of getting hired on at a better carrier. In the meantime, you're doing the right thing by researching your next move.

Hang in there, everything's going to get better before long.

All starter companies are the same. Put in your time and get your experience.

Check out Superior. They were willing to hire me with ZERO tanker or OTR experience.

The teason why they start off with high mileage rates is because they really don't get 2500 miles a week more like 1200.

He might get load and unload pay, demurrage. I did when I was a company tanker driver. Then if I sat a day I would get 125 for the day.

    Ahh the Mega’s.
20 years since I worked for one
    And nothings changed.

    The drivers they have sitting
3/4 days a week with nothing to do.
At the same time they have another
    200 in orientation.

    77fib77 Thanks this.
