Lesson 1: Your definition and their definition of regional is 2 different things.

Some guys love it some hate it. no surprise there.BIG SARGE Thanks this. -
more of an adjustment going from otr to regional. miles are significantly less...maybe 2000-2500 average as opposed to 2600-3000 average. pay is a bit higher than otr usually. you can usually expect to run 5 days and home weekends...GENERALLY. depending on where you live, you may even get to run through the house during the week. but a lot of sitting around in regional. shorter runs (300-700 miles) than otr (500-2k+) and in my experience a lot of running at night. maybe that was just me though. i hated it...WAY too much sitting around for me. pay ended up a but less than i was used to in otr, even though pay per mile was significantly more. but the best thing about otr for me is getting the heck outta the east. LOVE seeing how the other half lives. love calling home in december-march and telling my wife how hot it is where i am (its 5 below there? so sorry. its 85 here!)

of course most companies think regional is like boston to Cali lol

Thanks, I prefer to stay around New England. there is a lot to see around this region, and if I need to get back home for an unexpected reason I'll still be close to home.

It's a lot warmer in cali right now.haha
-
not really. i live in nor cal and xmas day alone we got three feet of snow lol
-
WOW, at least you had a white xmas. But that still is a lot of snow!!

I clicked on their website and I looked at careers in GA. It had 0 results for wanting to be home in 5 days. I then clicked on 14 days and still goose egg. 21 days came up with some results but I figured out what they were all about after the 5 day deal. It might be different in the northeast but I bet if they couldn't find drivers willing to stay gone, they would have plenty of openings for 5 days. Don't get me wrong, I wish the best for you and it might be the best job for you. I had a friend that worked there. He said it was a good job but he's a job hopper
