I been on here a few times lurking for company ratings.
I looked into private schools, and just can't afford $5000 up front.
With a DUI, Workers Comp case for a lower back injury, and bad credit, this may be my only choice.
I've done long haul before, so I'm not expecting a paid vacation.
Im also a BIG BOY, non complainer, hard worker trying to support a family.
I really hope all the bad that was said, was only a rant by noobs that had no idea what life on the road is about.
I mean really, how bad can it be with CRE?
And whats the difference with any other OTR company?
Any whoooooo........
Wish me luck. I hope to be that 1% that prospers with CRE!![]()
Just filled out my online application for CRE!

As long as you bring with you a good attitude and are able to have patience when stupid crap rains down on you all day long you can get along well at most trucking companies. Like life in general you get back what you put in. They only thing I'm worried about for your sake is the DUI and your back injury. Most places require you to be able to pass a physical as a term of employment just like a drug test. Heck just to get a CDL you have to pass a DOT one. Each company is different but an example of Schneiders is you have to carry more and more weights in a crates around (maxing around 50lbs) and then check heart rate, then step up and down one step up for like a min strait, then test heart, climb up into a trailer 3 times, check heart squat under a simulated trailer for a bit, then heart so on and so forth.
I don't know what other companies are like, I know Schneiders because I work for them. I am also on the heavy side, so it is possible to pass, I just hope your back doesn't exclude you from being able to do it. Also the DUI, while not a total brick wall, will be a kick in your butt at every turn. So when you do find a company that will overlook it, make sure and stick with them till you're packing some good experience. Don't want to bail on them and not be able to find another. Oh and good luck with CRE, I don't know if they are all as bad as I read here, you'll have to keep us updated.
-+MR. E Thanks this. -
My back is fine. The injury is a few years old. Infact, I got my CDL back after my DUI, and the physical was cake.
I moved out of state and didn't want to retest, so I surrendered my class "A".
As long as I don't plan on lifting Navy Ship parts, (where I messed up my back) then Im ok.
My attitude is can and will do. Failure is not an option. And with all the BS jobs after driving I held, dealing with a dispatcher is no prob. -

I give it 3 months, he'll be back with a different attitude.
I'm a successful person, too. hard core motivated, ex-drill sergeant, worked in retail... attitude isn't an issue.
Worked hard, did everything asked of us and then some... and averaged 17 cpm (as a team), when other companies pay 40 cpm and better for teams...
You may have to deal with that because of your background situation, but hopefully you can do your time and get out, moving on to something better. -
You do know that England will most likely let you go after you start right? Many of these dirt bag lower than low company's will do that.
Also they are not offering much, if anything in the way of company driver position's.
People like to say that all the crap company's are the same. This is not true, only a few are in the CRE category. Mainly just them and CRST. They are worse than CRST though.
Maybe you will get lucky and get in that 1%. But with your background I cannot see them keeping you that long.
They may let you do the school, and then let you go with a trainer and run some miles off you. But they may not ever let you upgrade. Then hold you for the school pay.Everett Thanks this. -
LOL All I can say is good luck. I did really appreciate that their equipment was well maintained.

Good luck. You can do it. DUI gotta be 5 yrs old.some 3 others 10 yet others will never hire you.Never worked with em. Best of luck to ya.

CRE is the worsed, you should concider other avenues, if you got cRE drivers telling you there making great money with them, make them prove it, they will talk you into there screw over the driver lease. DO NOT LEASE WITH CRE!!, if you do ,I'll get the opertunity to say, I TOLD YOU SO!
