by all means bro if its the only opportunity take it, just be very careful.... I don't hate drivers, just companies that take advantage.. so it's not us beating you up... just wanting to avoid seeing someone else taken advantage of.... if it's what you have to do then by all means.... just be educated going into it...

OK, maybe for 6 months, just to get into another company, but not a year.. that additional 6 months will only get you more heartache and more broke.

I agree with Ronin, do what you have to do for you, but get out as soon as you can... I have not really heard of any success stories about CRE... but who knows, just get out while you can....

Isn't the contract for 1 year?

If its only 6 months, then that I can do with ease.

I'll talk to the recruiter again Monday.
Depending on what she says, I may pass.

If worst comes to worst, I'll sell my car to pay for a local trucking school. With a CDL in hand, I should be able to have more than 1 choice. Right?

I do appreciate everyones input. Its just every job I had, there was always people who didn't like the job, as I found a few jobs to be just fine.

Also I am the type of person who needs to witness the outcome, before I cast judgement.

Take fishing gear, or weapons as an example.

One may hate Glock or Diawa, while others stand by the company.

I figure I would test the waters first...

also I know people don't like to hear this.. but a few years back when I didn't have my cdl I got into two accidents... and what I had to do... was wait.. just this past july 3 years went by and now I am able to say my driving record is clear.... and no it wasn't an accident in a CMV but a regular car.... just small fender benders.... but I had to wait, now that my driving record is once again clear... I am going back with May trucking.. they are not the biggest nor the best, but a decent outfit.. that I don't mind giving a year of my life to... whatever you do, just go in educated... so when you do get raped, at least you saw it coming...

hey but if its just putting up with some bs for a year to get back to what you want to do, then by all means bro do it... JUST DO NOT lease... now matter how much they push you to..... hell lie to them and say you want to solo for a year and then you will.... just don't do the lease purchase..... even your trainer will try to push it showing you how much you make etc..... just don't believe it... solo or team or whatever you have to do, until you can move on to other things.

Uhm at the risk of hijacking your record is not clear. If a company asks have you been in an accident in the last five or ten years your answer better be yes or when they pull your record they will find out about them.

There is no magic number that removes something from your record, there is how far back they want to look. A record is just that a record.

Holy smokes, I agree with Tazz on something. I'd list those accidents, no matter what, because they will come up, they just won't be considered, for insurance reasons.

Not disclosing them, even if they're older, can get you canned or not considered to begin with.
