    Just filled out the application that's on this website. Kinda nervous. I hope there are some companies interested in hiring me. How long until I might hear something?

    First thing in the A.M. all the big ones will start. Then by the end of the week the better companies start. I still get calls and it has been a year since the last time I went fishing.

    Call them about a day after putting app in. Tell them you are checking on it. I did that and I started school with 10 pre hire letters. Shows iniative, they like that.

    Speedracer, not sure how many hours my school was... It was 5 weeks long.

    I'm in Virginia. I have doubles and triples and tanker. The app didn't even ask about those. Weird huh? I passesed the hazmat test... Just waiting for the background check to go through.

    Try to put that tanker endorsement to work for you.
    Contact Schneider about their tanker division; they hire new CDL grads.
    Prime also hires new CDL grads for their tanker division.
    I would try Schneider first & then Prime, because Schneider has hazmat also. I think Prime is just food grade.

    Hey Montgomery, just saw your thread referenced by a member in a different thread. This is the comment I left there:

    I have to admit that it's not very useful yet. I just launched it this month and I'm still discovering bugs and working to get reputable trucking companies in the system. It would be a lot faster if it just worked with all the mega carriers, but that's not how I want to do things. Since I'm doing it the hard way, it's going to take several months before the job finder application is something to be proud of.

    Basically, I recommend submitting your application at another job site as well. I just don't have enough companies in our system yet.
