its not all about the money. theres so much to learn about how to get into stores with out hitting stuff. the money will follow you as you do a good job. most likely you will start out as a extra driver. slip seating trucks. maybe once a week. maybe 3 times a week. not to many make the money on extra. some pull it off. but the biggest question is. what dc area. every dc transportation office does stuff different

Been driving since 1991 and yes doing otr am with Jack Cooper we are Teamsters Great benefits, only pay union dues of 64 a month for all of them . Income is 80000 plus not over 85000 but since I only been there 4years only work 9 months , just wondering should I make this change at my age 55 or hold what I got

I would say that is true, but if your going to drive a truck and "retire". I would most defiantly go to wal-mart for the 401k and stock. The pension just doesn't seem like it's going to be there unless the government does some kind of buy out. its either 2025 the plan will be insolvent... or so they say. i tried to go back to the union and its just way to much bs.Last edited: Oct 10, 2019
