One of my friends on the lease side sent me a summary of what he's been doing lately... the average is quite a bit more than any of that.

LOL I quit that job for a darn good reason. I didnt like the union and there political views and also the fact that they had ways of finding out about your political views. My father is a union Mechanic for Ford and my older brother is a union Iron Worker in Chicago and they both do good. My Brother makes more then I ever will but then again I dont have the balls to walk a 6 inch peice of steel 800 feet in the air. I enjoyed driving a truck and cant wait to get back to it. I was told I can get a job with UPS in Chicago but I enjoy OTR so I am stuck in that predicament. Money or what I enjoy?

    Irregular-load, OTR is not a job for a family-man.

I know its not for a family man but I enjoy the hell out of it. I mean working for UPS would be nice because the money is that good and the benefits cannot be beat. Its just being stuck in this position to decide what I am going to do.

    Hi guy's,

I am a lease operator for Prime, about halfway through my first lease. The trick is creating a plan and towing the line. Some good, some not so good. It's a balance game, and if worked correctly, you can make it work for you.

As for a family man or woman, you must pay more attention. A small mishap can take several weeks to recover from. Paying the mortgage, car payments, and all of the other domestic finances is a big job for a solo driver. Teams would work well for the husband/wife combo, provided they watch the line and stick to the plan.

    Just food for thought...

yes thats about right as a team 6-7,000 miles a week is quite a bit of driving.I have been doing that all summer with my trainer.
