You can get a ticket for having to much slack in your seat belt. I got one in Waco on 35 a few years ago. State patrol officer said no more then a thumbs width between u and seat belt. $75 ticket.

if I could figure out how to have the lap part slack enough that I dont feel constricted as it tightens up over time, I wouldnt have so much slack on the top. I could leave that free be tight as needed on top , but I like to lean over the wheel sometimes.
-
As the fine Texas Trooper told me it's the same as not wearing a seat belt. We #### behind the wheel for long periods of time and for me I want to be comfortable not be a Nascar driver strapped in.
-
betcha Mr Texas Trooper doesn't wear one at all while typing on the laptop on the freeway at 70+.

Pretty much nothing has changed.
A dismissal should be reflected by a deletion in the system and it still leaves the warnings as unchallengeable violations with points. -
Most don't just like emt techs, excuse need to b able to leave fast.
-
What?
can you translate please?!! -
We wear ours.
The exception is the fire gear. It is really bulky and hard to get the seat belt on. However, when enroute to the fire, we are putting on air packs and other gear and not belted then.
In the ambulance in the back, not seatbelted at all. -
Don't know where this took place, but in Texas a seat belt violation is a non-moving violation...so there would be no points against dl....

He said most don't because they need to be able to leave fast. I mean all he forgot was an e.
