he can find an accountant in his area, or even if he joins the OOIDA, they very well may have a list of accountants he can contact.
an ordinary CPA , many or may not be able to handle trucking related issues...mine however, is not only a CPA, but a tax lawyer and financial adviser, all under one roof.
but frankly with me being (now a former company driver), he was able to just use the standard deductions for me. i never had enough of any expenses to warrant any more that that. -

So he never gave you the per diem deduction? Or you were never away from home as a company driver?

never really away for long, at least, not after my first year. and frankly, i didn't want the per diem.
