This is a great thread. New driver going to make twice what many new cdl grads make right out of school.

Hell yeah man. McLane, Martin Brower, food service places that do franchises are a great place to start, you'll make good money out the gate. But you have to be ready and commited to nights/weekends/holidays for the first couple of years & very physical work, you'll be running ramps for a lot of places best case scenerio you'll load stuff on UBoats but rarely. Since you just got your permit stick it out the first 2 or so years, you'll make and save a lot of money, by then you'll have enough experience to go wherever you want. I currently work for US Foods and wish I could get onto those franchise trucks.
