I just got my CDL I have run into a problem. I applied at several trucking companies . The problem is my MVR. I had gotten into an accident in feb. of this year. I didnt go to court due to Military training so a failure to appear was issued and a suspension of my licensed I wrote the court ahead of time to let them know i would not be there. So when i went to court all charges where dismissed and tickets. So now i am trying to get a court correction to have the tickets removed.. I have been driving for 28 years and those were my first tickets ever. You guys have any other advice?

What was the ticket for specifically? As long it wasn't reckless driving/DUI/Drag racing (or some other serious traffic issue) it shouldn't stop you from being hired.
When you say "dismissed" do you mean that you paid NO fine or costs?
If you have paperwork showing dismissed (I mean really dismissed) why don't you take it to the Sec of State (or equivalent in your state) and see what they say? -
Ticket was for following to close. I beat in court with a go camera . Paid no fines. Just had to pay to have my License suspension lifted The judge said she couldn't waive that .

What exactly is on your MVR then?

Following to close with accident .( Beat the charge in court). Failure to appear ( due to military training) .. Suspension of driver's licension . All charges were dismissed Paid the 100 dollars

Just another day in paradise Lol who I kidding. Thee more rejections today. God I love this country. I mean I can volunteer. To go to war and be on a plane in a heart beat but can't get a trucking job because of one accident in twenty eight years. It coste 65 dollars to have the other car fixed and they where happy about it in court. Man this a great country. I think I am going to flip burger at a hamburger joint some where. You want fries with that. Lol
CenutryClass Thanks this. -
You need to stop sending apps in and go see companies in your area in person. Put yourself in front of them and explain your situation. It is a lot easier to present a positive impression in person than as just a bunch of words on a computer screen. If you put your mind to it, you can get it done.
