Hey guys I just got my first tickeg here in Illinois. I got lost, turned down a four lane rd going wb to il-59 and seen the sign that said 6 ton weight limit. I tried to find a place to turn around but couldnt so I kept going since it was only 4 miles to il-59....well I didnt make it and got pulled over by a bolingbrook pd officer. $120 ticket...####. Also today is My 30th bday and the cop wished me happy bday after handing me my ticket....lol. Anyway, totally my fault I shouldve been more aware of my surroundings. My question is will that ticket show up on my csa even though I got pulled over by a city cop, and how many points is it and is it a moving violation? Thanks guys.
.
Just got my first ticket in a cmv.

I got a truck route violation ticket by downtown LA last November and it was 1.5 points on my record and no csa points. My four wheeler insurance went up about $8 a month too since it was a minor infraction.
The California Highway Patrol were the ones that I got the ticket from. I was just in your area last night, parked at that 55 truck stop, exit 267. -

make sure you tell safety at your company about the ticket before they find out otherwise

Not positive but I thing CSA points have to come from a DOT officer. Most normal cops aren't real familiar with commercial driving.
You need to be really careful in Illinois, Indiana, California, and Idaho. Those states are real sticklers for being on restricted roads. You also need to break out the road atlas not your GPS. Your GPS is going to get you in trouble if you don't double check it with your road atlas! You are lucky you didn't come to a low bridge or something like that and have to back up 10 miles!

I believe it will show up. I received tickets for no inspection sticker, and no IFTA sticker. They showed as non moving violation, but they still showed.

DO NOT rely on that GPS. "GPS directions" = "Getting Pretty screwed-up directions" -
You can't fix stupid... even with technology -
For it to be on your CSA record it has to be on the standard inspection report, if not you should be fine.
But I'm pretty positive it will be on your regular driving record.Dorsey Thanks this. -
chompi is right about low bridges !!!!!! the Chicago area is fampous for paving a road and not changing a sign or no sign at all . call for directions !!!!!
chompi Thanks this.
