I actually got a $25 ticket for not wearing my seatbelt on I-80 in Indiana the other day. The guy assured me it wouldn't go on my CSA. He said if he started doing an inspection it would.

The funny thing is that when I passed him he pulled out (right then i put my seat belt on)behind ever so slowly catching up to me. Hovered around the back of the trailer for awhile and then slowly passed me with his laptop closed with his elbow on it resting his head. I'm like whew..... Good he's going on past. He gets way down the road. Other cars have even passed me by now. He then pulls up under an overpass and loops around the column in the middle of the interstate and when I pass he pulls back out. I'm thinking you mofo! Your playing super troopers on me! He then proceeded to pull me over and give me my ticket.

If you can afford it I would hire an attorney and get it reduced to something else but you may just waste money in the long run. When I called around about hiring an attorney for my ticket it was around $400 for representation plus the cost of the ticket. Was told for a truck route violation in that area of LA only about 40% of tickets issued got changed to a non-moving violation.

That's when I said forget it and I just paid the $234 fine. Just have to keep my nose clean for 3 years and I always pay close attention to my routing and proper trip planning.
