just got my hazmat

    I've been driving for a year and a half started at stevens transport then went to marten LTD ,then went owner op now I just want a break from the road looking for something local to take care of a family member

    That may take about 2 months. In the meantime, the doubles test is easy. If your state is anything like MD it is simply a 20 question written test, all common sense questions.

    Not a dumb question at all. As a matter of fact a lot of times I am heading up the road and another driver will get on the radio and ask what I haul in those "weird looking tanks".

    Chemical Tanks are long and cylindrical while bulk tanks have what looks like four "cones" along the bottom with valves at the end of each cone.
    They have a pipe (usually ridiculously close to the ground) that runs the length of the tank and exits out the very back.

    They usually have stuff like powders, concrete, plastic pellets etc. Stuff that needs to be hauled but can't be hauled in a regular tank b/c of the way the liquid tanks are made. Our trucks are equipped with blowers that connect to the tank to pressurize it and blow the product into a bin or silo at the customer.

    Does anyone know if I'm suppose to wait for them to mail me a letter or call me or bugg them about thanks, oh yeah thx for the pm wallbang, but think about selling my w9 for something fuel efficience been looking at the pete 387 or a volvo vn 670. any info on these either of these trucks

    my paperwork came in I'm not a threat ,got my hazmat tanker now anyone know of any local companys in houston ,TX
