Where in Ft Pierce are you? Im thinking about goingto their training next week from the T-Coast to Iowa?
In my three years of driving I have been to many shippers and recievers and have never seen a CRST anything! It is beyond me why anyone would choose this company for anything!
So about $22k a year... Congratulations. You were making more than the entire state of new jersey for someone without a college degree. Without having to pay for gas for your car to get to work every day, car insurance, utility bills are almost nothing. When you compare what these companies pay, and how much you actually drive to other companies, yeah, you're going to make less money, but they're training you and giving you the experience you need. Where other companies don't even want to know you exist, these companies are giving you the chance. They market themselves to new drivers because that's what they do. Why do you deserve the same pay and miles as someone who's been doing it for years? You don't get the great pay and great miles because they're planning on you finding a better company to work for after your contract, that's how they have room to train new people. Remember, they're still a business. THey're not getting people their CDL and experience on the road just to be nice, they're doing it as a tradeoff for lower pay and a commitment to work for them to pay it off. There's no scam. You needed experience and they overlooked the fact that you didn't have enough for most other companies and gave it to you, while paying you. It's like the work-study programs in colleges. You're not making a lot, but you're being set up to be able to make a lot more money when you're finished.
Can't think: if you truly were making $8600 over the course of six months, you should have left when you realized you were making so little.
Surely $8600 was after taxes and benefits right? There are plenty of company's that treat drivers with respect! No point in wasting your time with a bottom feeder.
You know what, all you naysayers, listen to yourselves, your all sad because all you combined are part of the small picture. You all have your horror stories about how little you made and how you left. If you owned a trucking company, would you keep drivers like yourself around? Would you give great loads to drivers who haven't paid dues? Do any of you even realize that most employers anywhere in his country are only giving employees 30 hours a week because of the impending Obama Care thing and the cost of health insurance premiums? So at $8.00 an hour at 30 hours a week is $240.00 before taxes and zero healthcare and no way to pay for it on your own anyway. So lets see, job stability at CRST versus a go nowhere job with zero future, hmmm tough choice
so u made 10,859 for 6 months than divided by 6 = 1809 a month 452.45 a week granted not the best pay for a trucker but not bad for a rookie that got schooling free so lets go ahead and tack on what a normal school may have cost 3-6 grand go to lesser one since it is a really short training and in all that you never had to pay 4 gas in your car to get back and forth from work so really what the hell u crying about ? in 8 months projected earnings = 14,478.66 add the free school cost to that 3g 17,478.66 divid by 8 again 2184.83 a month
