there doesn't seem to be very many PAM drivers on here... Good Luck with PAM... I'm a little hesitant to put them on my list of companies to work for..

My wife and I want to go teaming OTR in a few yrs and feel We can just about pick whomever we want ..

From what I have read oreintation and getting on there is the easy part ... staying happy there seem's to be the issue with many.. I wish they were a really good company since we live so close it would be really good for us.. But we have about 3 yrs to make a decision.. So I will see how PAM does over the next few yrs before putting them on --We do not want to work for list..

Good luck and keep us posted on your adventure with PAM...

I's really like to know more about the C1 school.. Cost and such thanks ..

PAM just started this new orientation at tontitown thing last month. I am with my first student to go through it. It's basically a lot like C1 except you will learn a bit about the qualcom/elogs, do some range work and road driving. Then at the end of the week you will either be picked up in tontitown by your trainer or bussed to n jackson OH, Irving, TX, or N Little rock, AR and be picked up there.

C1 costs about $6K if you pay it yourself (ripoff), or you can sign a contract with a company like PAM through driver solutions. In that case you are contracted to the company for 1 year and are garnished $45/wk out of your pay until you have paid $1,995. At the end of your year you will have paid the $1,995 and PAM pays the rest. Incidentally I am turning in my 2 week notice tomorrow and heading for greener pastures. It was a learning experience for sure but can be very frustrating working for a big company...the bigger the company the worse the communication. You will spend a decent amount of time sitting, specially over weekends and holidays.

    jgb7707 Thanks this.

I am a trainer. This is the 1st student I have had that went through tontitown before getting on my truck. Before we would get them right from home sometime after they left C1.

For me greener is having my own truck, choosing my own loads, and going home when I need to, not when a company says I can.
